Hello Families,

Welcome back from Spring Break! I trust you had a good time of rest, replenishment, and fun with your family. It has been great talking with students and hearing all about the adventures that were had. We had a good week getting back into the routine of school and catching up with one another.

Spring has finally sprung! There is no surer sign that the seasons have changed than the beginning of eight weeks of training for our annual Reconciliation Run Walk Wheel taking place in all SD8 schools in June.

To celebrate the last day of school before Spring Break, we  had a tropical beach party! The expectation was high all week as student council students prepared for the dance by making decorations, setting up, and making a playlist. There was tropical themed music, palm trees, and everyone dressed up!

Our winter activities are over and were a great success!

Our Gr. 2/3's went cross-country skiing, and despite a low snow pack and adverse weather, they had some wonderful days of skiing to finish off their time at Apex.

Students have been very busy practicing their writing here at South Nelson this spring!

K/1 Students: They have been doing directed drawing and learning to copy sentences. They designed their own leprechaun, described it's features and copied the sentence "My Leprechaun". Great spelling and printing Gr. K/1s!
