StrongStart

StrongStart is a free early learning program funded by the Ministry of Education for pre-school children 0-5 years old and their parents, grandparents or caregivers.  Come to enjoy play time, free play, circle time with songs, stories and crafts provided during each session.

StrongStart offers today's families an opportunity to provide their young children with the problem-solving and social skills that will help them successfully manage in school or within the community. The time participating in a StrongStart program is a wonderful way to begin introducing your child to your neighbourhood school community.

StrongStarts runs on Tuesdays from 1:15-3:15 at South Nelson Elementary School up in our Multi-purpose room (Room 309).

It is also offered at

  • Redfish Elementary on Mondays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Hume Elementary School Tuesdays & Friday mornings 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Blewett Elementary School on Wednesdays 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
