SD8 students from kindergarten to grade 12 as well as families and staff are one month into the school year and settling into the rhythm of a new season, new classrooms, new and returning classmates and so much energy and enthusiasm as thousands of learning journeys are underway.

Please remind your children that the mornings are still cool and they will need a hoodie. Also, to ensure they bring their sweaters in as they peel them off on the playground!

Welcome back from the weekend! I hope you enjoyed the beautiful waning summer weather (despite the rain on Saturday!) and being together as a family. Last week was a great week of learning as classrooms built classroom culture, learned about each other and got settled into their learning routines. 

South Nelson students participated in the Terry Fox Run on Friday, Sept. 13.
