Spring Writing Abounds!

Students have been very busy practicing their writing here at South Nelson this spring!

K/1 Students: They have been doing directed drawing and learning to copy sentences. They designed their own leprechaun, described it's features and copied the sentence "My Leprechaun". Great spelling and printing Gr. K/1s!

Superintendent's Report - March 2024

This past month has been a flurry of physical, intellectual, social and emotional learning in our six families of schools as students engaged in activities that stretched their skills, and exercised their understanding, leading us toward our upcoming spring break from March 18 to April 1

Arctic Inquiry

Our grade 2-3 class had a blast learning about Arctic animals. Each of us became an expert on a different critter, like polar bears or Arctic foxes, snowy owl, beluga Whale, etc. We learned about habitat, physical appearances, diets and adaptations for living in such a cold place. Everyone made cool pamphlets to share what we found as well as recorded their voice with a cool QR code for our Arctic Mural. Our classroom was like a mini Arctic expedition, with all of us exploring and learning together.
