Pink Shirt Day

South Nelson Students had a great showing in Pink on Wednesday Feb. 28 for Pink Shirt Day! Throughout the week classes did activities and learning about anti-bullying, kindness and friendship. Our student leaders planned and led our assembly. We learned what bullying is, what bullying is NOT and the impact of kindness.
See the videos at these links:
Student leaders shared the results of our recent kindness survey and affirmed our teachers in doing a great job of modeling and teaching kindness throughout the school.
Our school then did a school wide kindness activity in our classrooms in which students wrote notes of kindness to one another.
Here are some resources for you as you have conversations with your children about the topic of bullying, anti-bullying, and how to stand up against bullying.
