I just want to start off by saying how lucky I am to be working with your children! We have had an amazing month of learning, growing, connecting and practicing all kinds of things from emotions to printing to getting along to following a routine! I can't believe it is October already.

As students get to know one another they are learning to understand the concept of perspective. Whether it’s the perspective of an artists eye or a particular way of thinking; together they are realizing that perspective is endless.

A warm welcome to September and to the 2023-2024 school year. I am pleased to welcome every one of our more than 4700 students and each family whose child or children have embarked on what may be a first or a next chapter of their educational journey within School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake).

Congratulation to all the students at South Nelson for their participation with Jump Rope for Heart. Our students spent the morning of June 2 trying a variety of jump rope games. I suspect they all slept well that night!
