So many classes at South Nelson have been enjoying this beautiful fall weather. They have brought their learning indoors and have made so many beautiful pieces of art using the natural elements found outdoors. They created leave animal scenes, leaf foxes, a collaborative art installment of a leaf rainbow. They have even been writing about leaves!

Mrs. De Sousa's class has been studying the rock cycle. They have been gathering rocks, making rocks (out of chocolate - yum!) and have a rock tumbler going to polish rocks. They have included their study of rocks into outdoor education.  They have also been reading and writing about rocks.

South Nelson Student Council is spreading Kindness! This fall they are sharing with others by painting colourful rocks with encouraging notes. These rocks can be found in and around school gardens. They bring cheer to our courtyard and students are encouraged to take one or leave one. These are putting smiles on our students faces as they find these happy messages around the school.
