- 2023/24 School Bus Registration Deadline Extended to June 16 – for students that qualify – see attached information
The deadline for your families to register for bussing has been extended from May 31st to June 16, 2023. We are short approximately 800 registrations from last year. Any late registrations may result in students waiting for processing in September before they can ride and/or may have a stop eliminated due to bus route design based on registrations at the time of the deadline. Applications received after June 16, 2023, will be considered only if space is available on routes as scheduled. We have waiting lists on a few routes annually, please get this message out to your families to ensure they have a spot on a bus!
Summer Opportunity
I hope you are doing well! My name is David Le and I'm the manager of outreach programs at Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Faculty of Applied Sciences. We run free online and in-person programs to encourage grades K-12 students’ interest in science and technology. We have developed a variety of online programs this year and we wanted to reach out to share them with students across BC to inspire interest in STEM. I’ve attached information about our programs and resources here and a text version below. We would love it if you could share it with your students and community. The more the merrier! If you would like to hear more about our free student programs throughout the year, we have a monthly newsletter that lists current and upcoming programs. Thank you so much!

June 10th will be the 3rd annual Action Anxiety Day! During the week of June 10th:
Action Anxiety Day (AAD) is dedicated to anxiety awareness and education, as well as reducing the stigma around anxiety disorders. As educators, you have a unique opportunity to create a safe and supportive space for students, especially when it comes to their mental health. Anxiety is common for many children, and we can empower them with knowledge and the tools they need to cope. https://www.anxietycanada.com/action-anxiety-day-educator-toolkit/ |
