Weekly Update - 14Jan23

A heartfelt thank you to our community for the love and support shown this past week to all connected with the tragic passing of Constable Wade Tittemore.  Specific supports that will help the family include the gofundme that has been set up by the Nelson Police Association at https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-wades-family-and-mats-recovery and the meal supports that has been set up through local restaurants with details in the attachment emailed with the weekly update link.  Much appreciation to South Nelson staff and our SD8 crisis response team for helping hold such a caring, calm, and welcoming environment.

PAC lunch program notes...

  • The school lunch program is beginning again next Tuesday, January 17th. (Monday is a Pro-D day). Just like in the fall, we need two volunteers on Wednesdays to help with pizza; one to pick up the pizza at Thor's and then help with delivery at school and another volunteer to simply help at school. The volunteer helping at the school does not need to be there till about 12:45 pm but for ease of the sign up sheet the time slot appears as 12:20 (the time of the pizza pick up.) On Fridays we need one volunteer to pick up the hot dogs and to check the condiments (including soy sauce for sushi days).
