Good day out there, South Nelson.  I'm getting this update out earlier than usual this weekend due to...surprise...youth hockey commitments for the rest of the weekend.

We had the pleasure this Thursday of hosting Shayna Jones for her storytelling performance that was full of cultural flavour; wisdom & lessons passed on through the ages; expression through movement, language, rhythm & singing; and student participation!  This performance was also the kick-off of a six-week storytelling workshop series that Shayna will be doing with our grades 4/5 classes and will culminate with a student performance on December 15th in the school gym. Thank you to our PAC for supporting this project, which has been in the works over the past couple years through many obstacles.
