Terry Fox Run 2025 a Huge Success!

To honour the 45th anniversary of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope, South Nelson students rallied around the cause to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Students spent time learning in their classrooms about Terry and his resilience in overcoming the struggles of his disease. They were inspired by his dedication and commitment and many students had connections to loved ones who have struggled with cancer. Terry, and others, are great role models in how to overcome obstacles and make the world a better place by considering how we help others who come after us.

On Friday September 26 students took to the trails to show their commitment as well. Wearing their “Finish It” t-shirts, they raced, ran, and walked. The K/1 students ran in our upper field and the older students ran along the rail trail above South Nelson. Huge thanks to our South Nelson community who helped our students raise $2043!
