South Nelson Students Raise Money for the Terry Fox Foundation

In September, across the country, communities remembered Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. South Nelson students took to the trails on Sept. 25 to do their part. After doing some learning in their classrooms and spreading the word, South Nelson students raised $1955 towards cancer research.

Students were inspired by Terry’s resilience and dedication in overcoming the struggles of his disease. Many students had connections to loved ones who have struggled with cancer. Terry, and others, are great role models in how to overcome obstacles and make the world a better place by considering how we help others who come after us.

Huge thanks to our South Nelson community who helped our students raise money and came out to support us at the run!
