We recently received a grant through the Feeding Futures Fund for a "Snack Pack" initiative in our school.  The goal of the grant is to support food literacy and integrated learning opportunities for students.  We have started by working with small groups of students who have been learning to make healthy snacks to share with their classmates.  Over the past 2 weeks, we have had students in 3 different classrooms make dried apple chips using the new apple corers and dehydrators we received as part of the grant.  Each classroom will have a chance to sample our dried apple chips over the next couple of weeks before we move on to making something new!  Stay tuned for more updates.
