This week's 'love bugs' photo comes from K/1 Teacher, Ms. Smith, who has connected with a retired teacher who runs/organizes a connect-with-a-senior program who asked Ms. Smith & Ms. Corner's class to make some Valentine’s cards for care packages going to vulnerable seniors in our community. 

Thank you to all who have completed the South Nelson Turf Field Survey that I sent out yesterday - https://forms.gle/mcRY7RyCjh5Jf57j7.  So far there are 72 responses from families.  Please keep them coming if you would like to give input at this initial stage.  This is intentionally a simple yes-no survey at this time to determine whether our PAC and school community will move forward with the many details to consider for this potential project.  I am also getting very thoughtful input and questions via email that I am collecting and will share with our PAC once the survey closes.

As part of Black History Month in February, these stories of two relatives of South Nelson students were shared this week.  The video from Canada Post celebrating the life of Eleanor Collins, who is now 102, is particularly beautifully done.
