South Nelson students brought out their best skipping last week as they participated in the Jump Rope for Heart challenge!

Students participated with their buddy classes and spent the morning doing stations of skipping. Stations included chinese skipping, long and super long skipping, skipits, hoop rock/paper/scissors, short ropes, obstacle races, jump the shot, skip sticks & hula hoops, musical chairs and a brain/body break. Lots of fun was had learning new skills and teaching others.

Participating in Jump Rope for Heart helps raise student awareness of healthy nutrition and activity habits that foster lifelong health. They also fundraise, and all money goes towards heart disease and stroke research that helps to save lives and support families. To find out more, visit the Jump Rope for Heart website
