School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) announced today that Principal Misty Terpstra will transfer from Nelson Wildflower School to Salmo Elementary School to serve as the new school principal.

Principal Terpstra will assume the school leadership role from Principal Dawn Snell whose move to South Nelson Elementary school was announced in May.

Principal Terpstra has led Wildflower Nelson for the last two years, and has served as vice-principal of Trafalgar Middle School and vice-principal of the Salmo Family of Schools.

All school leadership changes will take effect on August 1. The school leadership opening at Nelson Wildflower will be filled in the coming months and changes announced before the next school year begins.
