South Nelson Winter Concert

Image

Congratulations to our students on a job well done at the winter concert! We had elves, snowflakes, snowmen and lumps of coal galore! The winter holiday sentiment was high and everyone enjoyed both singing and playing for our family and friends.

Our Gr. 4/5's introduced the show with a land acknowledgement and an Indigenous drumming song.

Then, our Gr. K/1 classes showed up in winter style and sang "Snowman Joe" and "Snowflakes".

Gr. 1/2 classes sang about bringing peace in "Just One Candle" with wonderful artwork to use as props. They also presented a funny song about getting "Rock for Christmas" which kept the audience in laughter!

Our Gr. 2/3 classes were spry little elves and sang "Elf on the Shelf" as well as "Cold Snap". These were upbeat pieces that brought on smiles and warmth of heart.

Finally, our Gr. 4/5 classes demonstrated their ukulele confidence as they led us in "Feliz Navidad" and "The Best Day of My Life"

It truly was one of the "Best Days" of the school year for sure!

Congratulations and hats off to our performers! Thanks to all our teachers, and especially Ms. Pepperall, our music teacher, for all her hard work of preparation.

Enjoy the holidays!
