Community Opportunities
NatureKids BC is a non-profit organization helping children ages 5 to 12 and their families get outdoors to explore, play, learn about and take action for nature. Powered by passionate volunteers, members and donors, we engage young families in exploring the diverse ecosystems of British Columbia through nature clubs in all corners of the province.
We are inviting SD8 families to join our Nelson Club! NatureKids BC members get to enjoy engaging and educational nature-based Explorer Day events throughout the year. Membership is accessible to all families as we operate on a sliding scale. Membership also includes a subscription to our NatureWILD magazine.
We also offer many free teaching resources and we invite you to sign up for a one year Teacher’s Subscription which includes the following:
- Two printed copies of NatureWILD magazine
- Unlimited digital copies of NatureWILD, four times a year
- Four backyard safari bird ID cards for your region
- Subscription to our special e-newsletter for educators
